Designed for young learners, this course introduces the exciting world of coding through interactive storytelling, games, animations, and music — all using the visual, drag-and-drop platform Scratch.
Participants will learn how to move characters (sprites) with precision, create animated scenes, and build interactive stories using event blocks and multiple backdrops. They’ll experiment with musical notes to create their own music box, master loops to control animations, and even build platform-style games with jumping and obstacle navigation.
As the course progresses, students will explore sensing blocks, variables for scoring, maze navigation, sprite cloning for effects like snowfall, and messaging between sprites to power games like space shooters. They’ll also collect user inputs, use operator blocks for math functions, and apply logic with if-else statements — all while building their own custom projects!
By the end, every child becomes a coding superstar, confidently designing and sharing creative, functional Scratch projects that showcase their programming and problem-solving skills.
